The Jeep Wrangler playbook is defined by the same off-road capability it's boasted since its roots in the second World War. Now, with the American SUV maker one of FIAT Chrysler's most popular brands, it behooves them to keep their halo model up to date. In 2018, a new Wrangler will debut, and The Fast Lane Car might have spied it testing.

While it wasn't a straight-up all-new model, the variant TFLC caught on the roads was testing components allegedly for the new Wrangler's powertrain. In addition to some River Monster's esque chasing of the prototype, they also gave us a rundown of some features they expect to see in the Jeep brand's premiere off-roader.

You can get that rundown by watching the video above. If you want to see what it's like to escape both roads and convention in a vehicle like the Wrangler, drop by our Jeep dealership in Concord, NC and sign up for a test drive.
