Olympic runner and World War II officer Louis Zamperini is a memorialized hero with an incredible life story. At the age of 19, he competed in the 1936 Olympics in the 5,000 meter dash, and when World War II canceled the 1940 Olympics, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. While serving, he survived a terrible plane crash, travelled for seven weeks across the Pacific in a raft, and survived nightmarish days in Japanese POW camps. The inspiration behind the new Christmas flick, "Unspoken," (in theaters now) passed away this year, and the Jeep brand's taken a moment to celebrate his life with a new video.

Often described as having incredible courage and a strong will to overcome any obstacle, Zamperini embodies the traits we try to emulate with the Jeep brand. While an automotive brand cannot achieve the experiences that defined Zamperini's life, the Jeep brand did share a bit of the same history during World War II.

During the war years, the military heavily-used what was known as the Willy MB U.S. Army Jeep model. Over the course of the war years, about 650,000 MB Jeep models were produced, and they served a multitude of purposes such as troop transport, reconnaissance, ambulances, command cars, among other uses.

In an effort to celebrate the life of an extraordinary person and the rich history of the Jeep brand, we're proud to present the Jeep brand's latest video.
